Emirates first flight
took place on the 25th October 1985 when, Emirates flew its first routes out of Dubai with just two aircraft—a leased
Boeing 737 and Airbus 300 B4 that flew between Dubai and Karachi. Since then Emirates Airline has been
characterised by two key features: continuous explosive growth and a constant focus on top quality service. Today Emirates
currently operates services to 100 destinations in 62 countries around the world and the network is expanding constantly.

and 33 of the 53 B777-300ERs offers seats that can be transformed into lie-flat beds. The A330 and A340s are mainly used by
Emirates on shorter routes so these business class seats recline onlyEconomy Class has seat pitch of 32-34 inches and the award winning entertainment system where
each economy class passenger has their own tv screen with between 600 and 1000 channels offering as many as 130 movies, 50+
video games, 350 audio channels allowing you to listen to top selling music albums or even music by year. Since 2003 Emirates
airlines have won the award from Skytrax for the best onboard entertainment system ever year. A choice of food and drink is
provided free of charge on all Emirates Airlines flights.
In the year 2009-2010 Emirates flew 27.4 million passengers
which was an increase of 20.1% on the previous year making it the 7th largest in the world for international passengers. Having

8th September 2011 Emirates announced today that it will begin daily flights to Dublin from marking its first
route to the Republic of Ireland. The daily service, from 9th January 2012 next year, will leave Dubai at 0700hrs and arrive
in the Irish capital at 1130hrs. The return flight leaves Dublin at 1255hrs and gets into Dubai at 0025hrs the next day. An
Airbus A330-200 will be deployed between Dubai and Dublin, offering First, Business and Economy class. 24.07.2010 Emirates will commence flights using the new A380 out of Manchester from September
2010. Which will add to the twice daily A380 flights out of Heathrow.
