If you car has it use cruise control on motorways. It smooths out the driver's
acceleration and has been tested to show 7% reduction in fuel useage. Don't use on mountainous roads as will use more fuel
downshifting to achieve the required speed.

Don't throw away dead batteries. Use them in quartz clocks as they take
so little power that batteries too weak to run anything else will power these for awhile.
