Kitbag History.

Kitbag are based in Manchester (UK) and are Europe’s leading online sports goods retailer.Kitbag.com was established in 1999 as an online sports merchandise business they were purchased in October 2006 by Fidel PLC when European Home Retail went into receivership. The company was first established to offer a one stop shop to purchase official football replica shirts but due to its immense success, Kitbag has now expanded its product range to offer the latest in Rugby, NFL, footwear and leisurewear.

Kitbag is part of Findel PLC so the results are not available but for the 6 months ending 01/04/201 the group made a loss of £1.4 million before tax on sales of £532.6 million. The results show that Kitbag Kitbag continued to make progress on new business wins, signing an online contract with UEFA for the Champions League and the European Championships in May 2011 and a multi-channel outsourcing contract with an established Premier League club (to start in season 2012/13 and to be announced shortly). They are also in the process of confirming a multi-channel arrangement with Leicester Tigers rugby club which is expected to complete shortly, together with an online contract for an international rugby organisation ahead of the Rugby World Cup. Current trading is strong, reflecting the success of thei partner clubs (FA Cup winners, Premier League champions, Copa del Rey winners and both UEFA champions League finalists).

Kitbag Financial Review half year ended 30/10/2009.

Kitbag is part of Findel PLC so the results are not available but for the 6 months ending 03/10/2009 the group made a loss of £8.1 million on sales of £277.2 million. Despite this Kitbag had a successful 6 months with strong sales and operating profit growth plus a new contract with Everton FC went operational. Kitbag is part of the findel direct division which also includes confetti and i want one of those. Kitbag is expected to have a turnover of £100 million a year by the end of 2013.
