Legal and General Home Insurance Review

Saving money can often mean cutting back on quality - but that's not the case with Legal & General Home Insurance. That’s why they were awarded ‘Best Home Insurance Provider’ at the Personal Finance Awards November 2008.
You can save up to 43% off their standard rates online. If you want to save even more, you can select a higher excess – that’s the amount you’d pay towards any claim.  Choose a higher excess and Legal & General will give you a significant saving on your premium.
As well as great savings, they provide quality cover and excellent service.  From the big things like fire, flood and theft, right down to your freezer contents and downloaded music files, you can rest assured it's covered.
You can also tailor your cover for extra peace of mind – with optional extras such as accidental damage, legal protection and personal possessions cover.
Here's just some of the things that are included as standard with their buildings and contents insurance:
•    Home emergency – provides cover up to £150 for emergencies such as a burst pipe or break in
•    Alternative accommodation provided should you need to move out of your home temporarily because of an insured event, like a fire

Important Information
Please note that home insurance is designed to cover certain unforeseen events and doesn’t cover everything. It does not cover things like general wear and tear or damage that happens gradually over a period of time. There is also an excess on each claim.
