Financial Results Year Ended 31st December 2011.
The Society made a profit after tax of £137,000 as against £355,000 the year before. 391 mortgages were completed with 39.4 million advanced. At year end there were 4 mortgages that were 12 months or more in arrears with the arrears being £8,861. Net savings balances reduced by £8.8 million despite the introduction of affinity savings accounts and an internet savings facility with exclusive on-line products. 


The management expense ratio rose to 1.00% from 0.93%

Mansfield Building Society Financial Results year ended 31st December 2010.
The Mansfield Building Society Group made a profit after tax of £355,000 as against £261,000 the year before. Total mortgage lending including further adavances was £39.9 million (2009 £35.9 million). There were two mortgages that had arrears over 12 months.

The management expense ratio rose by 0.01% from 0.88%

The Mansfield Building Society Group made a profit after tax of £261,000148,000 as against £148,000 the year before. This is after a provision of £127,000 for their contribution to the FSCS Levy.
Mansfield Building Society only had to repossess one property during the year.
During the year Mansfield Building Society made 402 new residential mortgages and as of the 31/12/2008 there were 5 mortgage cases where repayments were 12 months or more in arrears. Share balances increased by £0.3 million during the year.

The Mansfield Building Society Group made a profit after tax of £148,000 as against £533,000 the year before. This is after a provision of £470,000 for their contribution to the FSCS Levy over the next 3 years. Interestingly they have chosen to account for the whole 3 years now while other building societies have only accounted for the first year.
Over the last 5 years Mansfield Building Society has only had to repossess one property and almost all their mortgage book is less than 75% loan to value.
Interesting to see the Chief Executive commenting that he would not be surprised by further consolidation in the sector and the demise of the Dunfermline Building Society has since proved hin right.
During the year Mansfield Building Society made 586 new residential mortgages and as of the 31/12/2008 there were 2 mortgage cases where repayments were 12 months or more in arrears. Share balances increased by £12.4 million during the year.
