Swansea Building Society Financial Results year ended 31st December 2008

Swansea Building Society made a profit for the year after tax of £523,000 after the contribution of £186,000 towards the fscs lecy was taken into account. A record level of gross lending was achieved of £34.4 million and net mortgage balances increased by 23% to £92.5 million. Total mortgage arrears at the year end were £37,607. At the year end no mortgages were 12 months or more in arrears and no properties were in possession. Net savings balances increased by 10.0% to £123.9 million.
