Tesco Pet Insurance Review

Tesco are the second largest pet insurer in the UK and Tesco Personal Finance has nearly 6 million customers. A recent poll by Tesco Pet Insurance found that a quarter of dog owners had chosen a UK rather than foreign holiday in order for their pet to go too.  Tesco Pet Insurance have teamed up with UK Insurance Limited so you can relax safe in the knowledge that, should something happen to your pets, all you have to worry about is helping them get better – we're already relied on by over 2 million paws!

Tesco Pet Insurance

Tesco Pet Insurance offers two levels of pet insurance. Standard Cover and Extra Cover They also some extra options such as overseas travel, third party liability for dogs and theft. If you insure more than one pet with them you will save a further 5% for each pet. Tesco Pet Insurance covers cats and dogs only. Certain dogs will only be insured if you take out the insurance before they reach the age of 6 and details of these can be found on the website but the list includes American Bulldog, Bernese Mountain Dog, Boerbeol, Foxhound, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound, Old English Sheepdog, Rottweiller and approximately another 10 breeds. Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered under the tesco pet insurance policy. The tesco pet insurance standard excesses are £50 for cats and £60 for dogs. Tesco allows you to increase your excess level and lower your premium.
