Legal & General Insurance Review.
|
Legal & General offers life insurance and home insurance directly to consumers
so if you want to buy directly rather than through a third party the option is open to you.
Life Insurance
Products include general life insurance and the over 50's life insurance policy which is specifically aimed at
those over the age of 50.
There are two main product types –
both of which can be applied for online.
Life insurance - both level term life insurance and decreasing term. Level term means the amount insured remains the same throughout the term of the life insurance
policy, unless the policyholder chooses to exercise his/her guaranteed insurability option. Decreasing is similar but
the amount decreases over the term of the life insurance policy. This cover is usually chosen to help protect a repayment
mortgage.
Mortgage life insurance - this offers both level term and decreasing term option. Providing the same benefits as above but with
the addition of SmoothMove. (SmoothMove is a free 24 hour moving day resuce service, provided by Inter Partner
Assistance).
Legal & General’s low cost cover
costs from 20p a day – that’s £6 a month! Based on a healthy non-smoking female, aged 33 for £100,000
of level term assurance over 20 years (date of quote: 03.07.09). What you pay will depend on your individual circumstances,
but it’s surely worth a quick no obligation quote to see how Legal & General compares.
Legal
& General also offer home insurance.
Saving money can
often mean cutting back on quality - but that's not the case with Legal & General Home Insurance. That’s why they were awarded ‘Best Home Insurance Provider’ at the Personal Finance Awards November 2008. You can save up to 43% off their standard rates online. If you want to save even more, you can select a higher excess –
that’s the amount you’d pay towards any claim. Choose a higher excess and Legal & General will give
you a significant saving on your premium. As well as great savings, they provide quality cover and excellent service.
